It's a Kaos....a Joe Bridi plane, and one of the best planes ever !! [sm=thumbup.gif]

Here's mine, I've had it forever....I re-did the nose completely.

It looks like a Sig Kobra. Not a Kaos at all.

Note the elevator is aft of the rudder unlike the Kaos in the picture.

A guy had the larger version out at the field yesterday called the King Kobra. Its a 60 size version.

It's the OS .61 RF long stroke pattern motor. They quit making them about
5 years ago....there were a few different variations, they are all rear piped.
The one in my Kaos is not pumped, but some of them were. You could mount
the tank back on the wing on the c/g and the plane would fly the same no
matter how much fuel was in it....the balance stayed the same.

They really run well, and pull bigger props than most .61's....but they had the
cheap nickel plated liners in them, and tended to blow-up. It cost $115.00
for another piston and liner, but it was still the same cheapo stuff. []

MustangAce....

It looks like an original Kaos to me....mine is a later version, a Super Kaos. I
could be wrong....but it doesn't look anything like a Sig Cobra.

The Sig Cobra is a jet looking bird....

Agreed, looks like a Kougar or King Kobra with the T-38 type tail. Just has some poor excuse for a canopy, instead of the usual canopy/turtledeck configuration. Also has a 'custom' front end.

Tail plane, and the wing straight trailing edge are keys. Looks like sheeted foam too.

Kaos and Super Kaos have a double taper wing (straight main spar), and a very large span stabilizer.

As a Kaos pilot, you are exempt from any ridicule or punishment

Everyone has to own and fly a Kaos at some point in their r/c model history. Its just one of those things you have to do

Thank goodness Flyboy Dave let me fly his super-chaos (pictured above-) so I can make the Kaos list... His was a sweet flyer.

Pretty bad judgement by him if you ask me, risking a purty bird in my hands...

The Kaos is a classic. I wish I had one. Too much else going on right now though.

I have in the past owned the Super Kaos .60, .40 and an original Kaos I used for Sr. Pattern events.

Currently have an Ultrasport .60. That counts. Its a Kaos with a turtle deck on it

to continue a bit with the original thread idea......

I just picked up an antiquie treasure from Ebay yesterday. Hard to believe this is a 25 year old design. I sold the last flyable one of these I owned about 12 years ago. This one is in line behind some other projects, but definately will not collect dust for long.

Four smile faces to anyone who can "name the plane"

[8D]

Wayne Ulrey's EU-1A I was happy to run across it.

one of my favorites. use to be considered a "REALLY BIG" plane.

Rear exhaust through the canopy area. Took every ounce of a screaming Rossi .61 to get enough vertical for a Figure M out of it. But there were few better rolling-manuver planes. Quite quick when set up properly.

IN RESPONSE TO THE FIRST POSTING I MADE WITH THE PICS , I MEASURED THE WING SPAN AND IT WAS 45 INCHES AND THE LENGTH OF THE FUSELAGE WAS 36 INCHES IF THIS HELPS IN DETERMINING WHAT KIND OF PLANE IT REALLY IS , AND YES IT DOES HAVE A POOR EXCUSE FOR A CANOPY ARE THE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TYPE CANOPY I COULD REPLACE IT WITH TO GIVE THE PLANE SOME TYPE OF CHARACTERISTICS.
THANKS AGAIN

ALSO IT DOES NOT HAVE A STEERABLE TAIL WHEEL , ALL IT HAS IS TAIL WIRE , SO IT IS VERY FUN & DIFFICULT TRYING TO TAKE OFF AND LAND WITH THIS ONE.
