CATFISH ready for some action...
I refurbished an old Catfish Club 20 racing plane that I bought from a buddy that is getting out of the hobby. This plane has been through the great war, but it didn't turn out too bad.
It is powered by an Irvine .20 "racing" engine, on a minipipe.
No blistering speeds, but at 130-140 mph going around the pylons on a short course... still good for some decent fun.
It won't be a top contender at the races, but it's good enough for getting stick time.

Nice clean plane! 140 with a little plane has to be great fun. What prop and rpm? The photos make it look like a new plane[8D]. Do you want some helpfull tips about how to put landing gear on it?

Minimum legal weight is 1135 grams... I'm close to 100 grams overweight, but that's with an 800 mAh four cell NiCad battery and a big receiver. In "race-trim" I will not be too much over the weight mark. The big battery allows me to fly all day long without recharging.
Considering the fuse was broken in half just behind the wing, the wing itself dented in a few places and the fact that I completely painted the wing instead of leaving it bare... that's not too bad. I just couldn't bring myself to leave the wing bare with all those filler patches on it.
