Jeremy AKA LGM Graphix put a racing 40 on one awhile back. Maybe he will chime in. It seems many mods were needed to make it hold together and also to balance. I like to over power everything but a 40 is a little much on this plane IMO.

A good .25 is a great match and you still have to put everything as far back as possible. A .40 I guess could be done but I doubt it would last very long. I would like to see it done but leave me out LOL. I just finished a Wonder only a few weeks ago. Nice little plane. I used .25 TT and hitec 555 flight pack. Can be seen in my Hangar.
Later,
Brad

I believe Jeremy is away on business for a couple of days. Racing engine on a Sig Wonder ? Heck, I think Jeremy would put a Nelson on a Sig Kadet if he thought he could get some speed out of it.[X(]

Hey, yeah, I had a nelson F1 on a wonder. Mods required were (as my memory serves)
Solid carbon spars in place of the 1/4" ones. Fully sheeted, I thinned the airfoil down to I believe 10 or 11% (not sure anymore)
4 bolt wing mount instead of dowels (later learned I should have made the fuse stronger in the hatch area as that's where the fuse broke when the wing came off. I also cowled as much of the engine as possible without adding a verticle cowl, I believe I made the nose a little bigger as well but I can't remember.
Anyway, I didn't have any issues with flutter or anything on the tail, I thought I might but it was ok, just didn't make the wing mount strong enough :P
