Whiplash does 600mph +
As everyone else seem to have quick whiplashes, I thought the guys in Dubai put an end to the speculations as to who have the fastest whiplash.
This whiplash was clocked @ 600mph+. I have the pics and testomonials.
Fitted with a wren turbine, chucking out 5Kg of thrust, it is well hairy.
Our speed gun was unable to keep up.

Man, I was there....people ran to take cover.....
The fastest thing I have ever seen, It only lasted a couple of minutes as the thing uses 1 litre every 6 mins, one pass close to the ground lifted the sand into the air like a mini twister...still speachless....
Whats next D.J Gadget...this will take some beating Man..I tell U

Actually guys, before we go bashing on how this is b/s, lets remember, this is very easy to accomplish, just put the whiplash inside a fullsize 747, it will go that fast LOL

600 MPH
When I wrote in another post that the whiplash could withstand a 300 mph flight providing you could find the right power plant I wasnt expecting to see something like this.
I wouldnt doubt that this would do 600 MPH but you'd have to have a hell of an airspace to fly it in...

35" wingspan @ 880 feet per second. Maybe superman would be able to do it. I've seen a QM40 go out of sight on an upline from a very experienced pilot at a demo during a full scale airshow. The plane was under 200 mph.
Ya know......I clocked my Predator at 745 MPH yesterday. Yes the first small RC model to go supersonic. Of course, it was in a dive.
It is high time to get that radar gun calibrated. I was at a hobby shop and we were running a small gas powered car in the parking lot. An officer that stops by the shop all of the time pulls up. The cop pulled out his radar gun and clocked the car. The gun showed the car at 63 MPH even though that car would only do at best 30 MPH.
We all had a good laugh. Atleast he didn't write out any tickets.

COOL
Say guy's, I want to go fast too. What prop on my cub to make it go as fast as Gadgets? Being you can't see it at 600+ mph I think I've come up with a solution. On-board co-pilot!

Beware - Cubs can grow on you
Hey AirGar,
I to, hated cubs, but recently, we have had an invasion at our club by Cubs, and I am sorry to say that I have become rather fond of them, especially when they all take to the air at the same time, and fly formation, looks well impressive.

Do you have any other pics with different angles on that 600+ beast? I am curious on where your tanks are at and how you did the plumbing.

Yo, ChuckAuger....
....I really like those clear plastic turbine hold-down
straps on that baby....much better than those nasty
metal hold down that was on it. See the shiny area
on the turbine ?
Do those turbines make alot of heat out the back when
they run ? Oh....I get it....the pic was taken
before the record setting run....that's why the stabs
are still there. Or maybe it was goin' so fast the heat
didn't effect the plane. ( Is that an airplane ?)
Dave.
