Default Who makes a cheap pair of air retracts?

After i've been adding up all the costs of mechanicals, it really does seem like spring-airs wouldn't be much more... anybody know who makes a resonable priced size for 40 sized models? (besides robart)

thanks guys

Robart came out with a new line similar to springairs air up / spring down.

cheap would be hobbico mechanical
cheaper would be salvage from Chineese ARF import wreck

Cermark sell low cost mechanical for their F-16

B&D Retracts are total Junk, one hard landing or fast grass landing and they will break up, if you don't break em they will start leaking around the actuator rod after one season. Spend the extra $50.00 and get the new Robart spring airs. made out of aluminum and metal and work very nice. I have had a set of spring airs in a GP F-14 for 10 years and they still work great.

Maybe you should try flairing a little. I've got a set on my F20 and have had some rough landings on our grass filed and they've held up fine. I do wonder about their longevity. The plastic housings can only take so much.

jzinckra,
I have been flying RC for over 20 years and have over 6000 hrs in over 20 different full size jet aircraft from F-16s to C-141s,
Thanks, but I think I know how to flair!!!!!!
I still think B&Ds are Junk!
