Anyone using telemetry for RPM and speed measurement?
I'm flying a GP Little Toni with an MVVS .61 and trying to get the best rpm and (therefore) speed out of it. OK, I know both the engine and airframe have 'limitations'; I already have a Jett BSE 90LX on order (!) so am hoping to get 'what I can' out of the LT. Does anyone here use or have an opinion about on-board telemetry like the Eagle Tree systems Seagull data recorder? Seems to me that logging actual speed and rpm will soon help to 'tune-in' a motor / prop setup. I'm using the LT to help me get used to 'something over 100mph' as I progress to my first turbine jet which is in-the-build (a comp-ARF Eurosport). I need to get a turbine waiver so the fast prop plane should help the transition (it's fun too!). If anyone's actually using on-board rpm measurement I'd be interested in feedback including sensor magnet(s) mounting.
Thanks, Andy

RE: Anyone using telemetry for RPM and speed measurement?
I have been trying different props, from 11x7 thru 11/9, 12x6 and 14x6. The 14x6 seems to 'feel' the best with a static rpm of 10400. I know this MVVS 61 engine prefers a static of around 11000. I'm trying a 13x6 today. All APCs. Fuel is 10% Omega.
