Default New plane and engine, need prop suggestion

Just bought the world models Dago Red and a Magnum 80 four stroke. I have no eperience with 4 strokes but would like to make this thing as fast as possible. I was thinking of a 12x10 apc, any other suggestions? Anyone else flying this combo?

Well I am not much help here but a couple guys here with 61fxs in theirs run 11/8 apc. Maybe try a 12/8 and see where it takes you in overall performance?

On my Saito 80 I run either a 13-6 or a 12-8 for normal sport flying. For speed I'd try to turn it up a bit, maybe try an 11-10, or 11-11 or you can start with the 12-10, but the 12-10 may give lower rpms, less speed. Heck, I'd even try a high pitch 10" prop, like a 10-10 if you can find one.

Best to just buy 3 or 4 props (a small investment) and try em all!

I probably will end up buying a few sizes to try, unfortunately the 12x10 apc is called a pattern prop and every thing bigger is double the price of the sport props.

Yeah, when you get up in pitch they are "competition props" and they cost more than double! Oh well, you have to try different props, and to go fast it takes some experimentation and that costs too.

Hopefully you will hit a good prop after trying 2 or 3.
