Maiden Whip / Jett-50
Got the first flight on my Whip today with the Jett after removing the K&B-48. I used a 9x7 (For ease of hand launching) It was F A S T... Need to try the 9x8 here next time---
I am teaching this guy to fly and today was his first time and after several successful flights on his Nextstar I busted out the Whip... I told him to point it up (45 deg.) and to the right - I said it is going to be loud then I am gonna nod and you let go. He looked scared and confused (He is Brazilian so he actually does not understand everything I say anyway) but it went well...
Did I mention it was fast? [X(]
Good times-

Yup, Those Jett engines sure know how to run fast. I put a Jett .50 on my Great Planes F-15 with a 10X6 APC - fastest thing on the field except the local Q40 guy's bird. Would be faster with a different prop, but I have to use the wheels to take off with this heavy monster.

Ramjet- You are rotating off grass eh? A 9x8 or 9x9 [X(] APC would bump the speed quite a bit...
Bob- You know it does run really well, it even idles pretty decent- I was lucky enough to find someone to rebuild it for me for next to nothing! Amazing the folks in this hobby, eh?
I am still planning on getting the 60LX for my Patriot but will have to wait until times improve-
Cheers!
