A 90 in a standard whiplash ? , well I gotta tell ya that it has been thought of already, but...... truly a bit much, the airframe will handle it but I think the weight would certainly make it nose heavy : )

but our 90 size whiplash will certainly handle it, no problems, but first we need to get caught up on whiplash demand before we release a new product..

Soon NITRO PLANES will have a Delta out and the market will be flooded.

Hey C4F,

Are you talking about the Flying Swallow Jet or is there going to be something more shaped like the Dust/Whiplash?

wing is tooo thick for real speed, but they tend to make arfs/planes that an average pilot can handle.

I heard from third party more like a diamond dust.

Still no word on the whips yet? Can we get a sample to test fly for you guys and we can do the reports. Make a hundred or so give them out to people to try and get the feed back from them if its good then mass produce. Man the suspense is KILLING me.

Me too! I just sent my $$ for a Phenom and I cannot wait to get it going. I have always loved the Whips but I am ready to try the phenom. I always thought about cowling the Whip and hiding the servos and the Phenom has done that for me!

More to follow-

I have a brand new whiplash and a weston 50 with pipe i been thinking of selling but dont know where to start on the price and dont know much about the plane and motor besides they are expensive. the weston was on a dominator but the whiplash has never been seen a motor or any thing. can some one tell me what it would be worth. i traded an XCell SE that i had for the two thinking i would put it together and fly it but now i think i will sell it to fund another project.

Weston does have a USA distributor - but you have to place the order through the Weston UK web site, and it ships through the USA contact.

I see the Whip is now also used in the drone business... so I doubt we'll be seeing it back any time soon.

We are happy to announce that we'll soon be releasing the new and improved Whiplash X after the first units are approved, which wont be long now..'
Theres only one Whiplash

There you have it......."Theres only one Whiplash"

There sure is....that's why we can't get one. Five months later and not even an update on why the hold up. I am beginning to think that it was just a legal requirement to shutdown the production of a cloned whiplash.

If you're having troubles with production, manpower, or just motivation then let us know please.

So what happened?
"Dumb Thumbs" on the first flight, but it was waaaay fast. We contacted ACM after the crash which was last week, and they said they were not going to be producing them anymore. Then I saw this thread and was wondering why he told my buddy that, then I saw thw date of his post. I am an outside salesman here in New Orleans and Broussard is in my territory. I am going to stop by his shop next week when I am up there. If I get any news, I'll post it here. BTW how does the Phemon compare to the Whiplash?

Primered or Air-Brushed version?

The Primered one was $169 I believe with the airbrushed version being near $300?

I guess whatever you can get...

Hmmm, I think this is an early version model? Its now back to its white primer/gell coat stage and it's ready for some paint,,, again,,, and still yet to fly! I bought this a few years ago and the guy rattle can'd it with some very ugly neon green,,, lucky for me it wiped off easily with a rag full of lacquer thinner. Now I just have to wipe off the accumulated shop dust and maybe paint it one day, drill and bolt up the MVVS(virgin rails still ), cut away the back part of the tank tub and re-glass it so the tetra 6oz bladder tank will fit.

Mike,

I have the Phenom, it take more time to put one together. fit and glue the wing spars and then the wing. Tail fins glue into the fuse not on top of. Nice finish work on the glass. no pits or bubbles! But it should a bit faster with the cowling. Snow here so I am taking my time filling the seam between wing and fuse.
