Default Speed Freaks Wanted

I was wondering when the next BBQ/fun fly was going to be held. Myself and Razor held the First one about 6 months ago and it was a blast. We pulled the travel trailers out and set up camp. My wife cooked ribs and corn on the cobb, and we all sat around the fire at night telling storys and knocking back wild turkey and lots and lots of tequilla. We didnt have alot of the revver brothers turn out. Flyboydave showed up late saturday evening and he returned the next day fully loaded with planes but the wind gotthe best of us all. a few of the valley guys made the trip, and we all made a bunch of new friends. I am open for any ideas. Please feel free to e mail me and lets work out a location and a date as to when we can all do it again.
Thanks Revver Brother #22 Tim [email protected]

Default Speed Freaks Wanted

i really like speed out of my planes.

not yet ave i bought a plane with an oversized engine to get more speed but what i have i fly on full throttle.

i have an acrowot with an irvine 53 an it just gets gassed all round the sky till she runs out.

can anyone reccommend or suggest a plane that will be a good start to speed planes.

i want it really really fast?

at a low cost?

thanks

Weston UK Magnum + West engine combo... probably more speed than you had hoped for and you only need to bolt in your electronics and you're ready to rock 'n roll...

Only 320$ complete with hot engine and muffled pipe...

Search this forum for experiences, changes, upgrades and anything else you want to know about the plane...

Default How fast?

The Magnum combo comes with a West-50 (Webra) and reportedly can hit speeds near 200 MPH

How about a Patriot? It has landing gear...

....this is probably the best time to get in with the
"Revvers Brotherhood"....(Speed Freaks)....

Look at one of the entries at the "EL Mirage I" outings.

Anyone with a running plane could whoop this thing.

I will be happy to share the experience with the Rocket assist and how it is set up. The patriot is at the begining stage but I am thinking of trying out the rocket system on an arf first.

As far as the Lake Bed, When you guys get a date, I will grab my 2 buddies from my club and we'll head up there. I'll be honest though, you come home full of dirt!

we are talking about El Mirage? right?

Since you frequent the site more than myself, do your best to pick a day with-out a sand storm!

depending on the date, I will do my best to have a prototype arf ready for show.

Default Geesh-

We are trying to put together another flying event and you post a blizzard-

I flew my Magic in similar conditions up there-

Remember folks this is compact dirt- meaning you could sweep it with a broom and play a game of pool on this stuff-

Some things to be aware, but not afraid of:

1. The El Mirage founder- Tim (Tkigar) who has yet to actually fly one of his many planes...

2. Super Dave (FlyboyDave)- Just because he runs Magnums and Master Airscrew props...

3. Hawker (Mhawker)- Because he wears what appears to be a "turbin" on his avatar...

4. That we have a Swede and an Aussie that will show-up and know more about local politics than us...

5. And the fact that I actually fly better when intoxicated-

I think I'm turning into a speed freak. I'm on my 2nd plane and love a fast low fly by. It's a 4*40, I know, not fast. Have a Patriot on the to do pile. I think I will build the HOB P51 43" with a piped mid thirty engine to begin my speed career. Later, Mike

Yes my first experience with the lake bed was a bit scary, similar to the pics. But I guess that is what filters are made for.

Sick and twisted pictures there guys, ;0

I am sure that the tequilla is non alcoholic

Default Holy crapola!

Nice!

There is another thread titled "How do I make my P-51 scream?"

Sounds like you have an answer!

Tell us about the mods you have done to make it work-

I guess there is not a DB limit where you fly?
