Default NEW LR-1??

I was in contact with the blokes from Wild Hare RC about a month or two ago. I was interested in the LR-1 back then, however they said it would no longer be available and were gong to replace it at the end of the year. They said X-treme composites was going to build one with a rudder and a few other tweaks here and there.

Just wondering if anyone else has heard the news either? I looked on the X-treme composites webpage, and they only had the Ashley II listed as a new prodict, but tht was along with the LR-1 from 2005.

Does anyone kow of any other good .25 size composite speed machines?? A newby version of an LR-1 would be good, although ihave never flown or seen the original in action.

Regards

Hughie

Hughie:

The Krangke F-3D is a decent flying 25 sized racer. Have seen 40's and 50's in both and they will scoot. Getting them down is something else, seems the landing must be near perfect or your gonna break something. Regardless, they are a blast to fly. If the Ashley II is available, give it a shot if it replaces the LR-1, must be a better stronger bird. The price is right. Suggest you start with a decent 25 and then go for it wih the larger engines if you are so inclined. Best to learn to fly the 25 very well befor you go up in engine oversize. You will ultimately pay the price in a splat with the larger engine way past the basic design. ENJOY
