Default Weston Magnum Versions...

I just bought (haven't actually received yet) one of the Weston Magnum currently for dale on ebay. In another recent post, someone said these were the "1st version", not the "R version". Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the "1st version" and the "R version"?

Thx

I also posted them for sale on RC universe at a discounted price. I now have a good handle on international shipping. I had to repack in a small format for Mexico. What a job. It seems that the post office site has problems. They don't do parcel post and do a poor job of giving quotes. There are balloon payments and size rules that are not considered. I spent hours at the local post office fixing postage errors and repacking smaller. Anyway it is all under control and we have shipped almost 100 out in a few weeks. I have a lot more to sell. If you ever wanted to try an electric conversion, need spare parts, wanted to see what your old 40 engine would do or need a xmas gift now is teh time. Once they are gone they are gone. I have a new manual in file format if anyone need it. [email protected] is my email. RC universe classified ads has 30 for sale (it was the max I could do here). Who said 250 mph????

Dont use the wimpy control horns that come with the hardware package and use metal or carbon rods for the elevator. The hardware for the elevator is cheap. My first magnum failed due to the wimpy elevator tube giving out.

the second version (magnumr) also has this control rods for elevator the same way. i do agree i would upgrade them. the other things i seen is there is a seperate door just behind the wing. there are two wing dowels instead of one. but nothing i would really worry about.
