Default I have been Evacuated due to the Socal Fires

RCU- I wanted to let you know (Navav, and others that are bidding or waiting on my stuff in the marketplace) that I was forced to evacuate my home due to the wildfires and I do not know the status of our home and/or belongings.

I do not hve much time to be on here so please be patient if you are emailing me and what-not.

I will give you a refund Navav if your engine burned- []

My whole home town (Ramona, CA.) as well as nearly 400,000 others have been forced to evacuate the area- Their are at least 7 fires in various parts of San Diego County.

My thoughts are with those who are displaced and I feel for you losses-

THIS IS OUR KATRINA!

Bro that is a total bummer! I was running at the gym this morning and was a bit worried about you when the news showed the fires. Take care bro. You are welcome to relocate to NC[8D]

James, I hope you and your family and house are still safe. We have friends in Rancho Bernardo and also do not know what happened to them.

....the Lytle Creek fire is just over the ridge from me now, maybe a mile away. [:@]

The smoke is blowing just to the south of me, which is a good thing.

RAZOR:

Sure wish you and yours the best. Just not much a person can say in a situation like this. Observed the "El Cahon" fire results in the late 60-early 70's as part of a insurance Co. management team. Looked like more of a war zone than wind driven fires, with no rime or reason why some things were left undamaged, and others completely gone. Remember, you have a lot of friends out here, yell if there is any way to help. Regards Roger Menke

I was able to "sneak" back into Ramona (due to my crafty brother who never left and his motocross bike) I hiked around the road-block and met up with him on the bike---coming from the other side...Our house is there and the fire got within maybe 50 feet of us-

I have no power or water at home my brother has power but no water across town (Where I am now) we have been cruising through town, putting out small flare-ups and checking on friends homes and what-not--- also keeping an eye our for Looters.

In just our fire (Witch Creek Fire) 196,000 acres have burned, with 800 homes lost between me and the beach. (50 miles roughly) I still have 1 horse across town that wouldn't "trailer" and 4 sheep at my house which is why I asked my brother to blow the blockade and smuggle me back in town---

Never thought I would see Hum-Vees rolling through town [X(] Good thing though!

That is enough for now, thank you everyone for your kind words and concern! Even though I am unbathed I am well-fed and armed

Peace with all of you tonight!

Yo, BB....yesterday the smoke went to the north of me and went towards Palmdale
and Lancaster. About half of that smoke came 50 miles from the Arrowhead fire. The
other half came from the Lytle Creek fire....they have joined smoke. [X(]

Razor, glad to hear you and your family are ok. Ive been working the santiago cyn fire for the last three nights from 10pm to 8am. Not acctualy fighting the fires but making sure our water tanks have enough water to fight it. Scarry stuff being that close. Only help we can give is putting out the small flare ups around are stations to keep them from burning. we lost two pump stations that we had to put emergency pumps at, and have had to install generators at the rest so we can keep on pumping the water. This is my last night until monday. Hopefully by then they will have this under control.

I had a few scary nights but the Fallbrook (Rice Fire) blaze never had the speed going east like the other fires. They had mandatory evacuations just a couple miles east of my neighborhood. We were pounded by smoke and ash but we had some favorable onshore winds which I believe kept the flames from coming over the hill. Instead they turned back on themselves and North towards Temecula. I can't imagine what it looks like over there and the homes lost. Many of the guys I fly with live in Fallbrook and since it's still evacuated I am truly saddened to think what could be. We still have the Camp Pendleton Fire going to the North West of us and hopefully they can get that contained before it hits us. I saw the flames going to work this morning as I drove into Orange County. My neighborhood backs right up to the base and those hills are dry... So dry they had what I am being told was an intentional 'backfire' go out of control and it almost gave me and my neighbors a heart attack. They used military Sea Stallions and Chinooks to drop water. I had my own airshow under less than ideal conditions. Got some video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gHXpByI6go

Razor, I am really happy your house made it through ok!!!! It is crazy to see how random some of these houses burn while others don't.

It is truly amazing to see the support our evacuees are getting in this part of the world. We had friends from Poway come up and stay while they were evacuated for 3 days. We just waited and watched the news to see if their neighborhood got hit... all the while waiting for our phone to ring to evacuate (we were packed and ready). They brought 3 dogs and a cat, plus their 7 month old to add to our 2 dogs and 7 month old. It was like a nursery and a petting zoo at my place for a while. Their house made it through too but has smoke damage. They just moved in a few months ago...

Ona good note I got 1st place last weekend at the F5D Team Selection and had fastest time. On my way home I saw the smoke from the Ramona fire and thought "Uh OH!"

....way to go, Troy....congrats on the racing.

I got hit with the smoke this afternoon....it didn't smell like a regular forest fire,
it stank like burnt plastic....must be the houses burning. It has been terrible all
week. I feel so sorry for the people that lost their homes and their belongings. []
