Default DIAMOND DUST RC LIVES!!!!!

This is the official press release and word that DIAMOND DUST RC is back in production.
Due to medical reasons Diamond DUST RC was dormant for a few years and now is back
in production of the ORIGINAL Diamond Dust. We are happy to announce that the originator/inventor
of the Diamond Dust, Jeff Gilbert, will be heading development and production of the DDust Kits in
partnership with Tetracam, Inc. We will first be offering them as kits, then ARFs later on in the year.
Kits should be available by late summer.

We do have the Park Flyer version of the Diamond Dust called the Feather Duster available.
Its as agile as the original D Dust, but designed as an electric parkflyer. Speeds @80MPH

Please check out Diamond Dust RC's website for further details and information regarding release dates.

Thanks

Diamond Dust Team

Good to know there Skylab.....

Nice to see the products back on the market. The DD has been a favorite of many for a number of years.

Also Jeff is developing a revised version that will offerthe end user a rudder option or the original twin fin design all in one kit.

That’s real good news, but I’ll celebrate when I hear some guys have them in hand and they are good kits.
Hopefully they give Jeff full control of design and don’t substitute or cut corners as the bean counters tend to do.
I heard through a friend of a friend that he had seen Jeff walking around and doing fine.

Good to see. I like it that they have a date and updates on the website. I have a DD to build yet and I have a Lil' Rippy that I got from a friend that I will be building next winter.

purchased NIB (stored away by ebayer) a whiplash. Trying to decide on engine to match. Worried about price and launching. I have had a lot of fast wings and was thinking a nelson or q40 Jett FAST. The hi revvinng engines should be a lot quicker then the 50 60 lx... Opinions. maybe jett will set up 50 fire to 22k+

110 mph on shark delta seems slow, reasonable optoins...

never had a race engine, need help. Local RC store seems to just sell me the most expensive

Clay.......

Dont get in over your head here. And its best to keep things simple - speed comes from reliability, not extreme conditions.

For something like a Whip or DD, a standard Jett SJ-50, perhaps a Jett FIRE 50, or a used Q-500 Nelson or Jett 428 engine can give you a cost effective alternative. Just bolt on a 8.8x8.5 prop to any of these and they will serve you well. No need for anything above 15% nitro really. The engines are easy to operate. Relatively user friendly ..... just stick with that prop and ask questions here when needed. Also, if you are going with a high output engine on the whip, you WILL want a bubble-jett or Tetra bubble-free tank on the aircraft. No alternative to that its somewhat necessary or you will run into fuel foam issues.

In any case here, the plane will be the fastest thing you have ever flown, and it will be a ton of fun. Just don't over think it too much

Hi europatc74 ,
We are currently finishing up the D Dust Kit assembly instructions manual. We are expecting to have kits ready to ship by the end of AUG / early Sept.
We will post an official release date as we get closer. Thanks for your interest and we will let you know ASAP

I hope as time goes on that you offer the clipped wing version too. I don't recommend that anyone START with the clipped version unless you first use a small engine in it, no larger than a Webra 36, plenty fast for your first delta. 140 ish. If you use a smaller engine in this one it will be much easier to launch, longer flight times and even quicker manuvers than my over powered clipped wing beast.

Yes we are going to offer the clipped wing version next. We will keep everyone posted once we narrow down the release date.

Cool, I can hardly wait to see videos and hear about guys trearing up the sky with their 46/50 powered full sized Diamond Dust[sm=tongue_smile.gif]
I'm always asked, "Where can I get one?" Now I may have an answer.

Thanks Freakingfast, We appreciate everyones support and patience. One thing thing that is certain is that these kits will be 100% American made.
We are aware that most modern modelers are favoring the ARFs over kits, but we are working hard on providing a more thorough and comprehensive
construction/assembly manual that should help reduce build times as well as ensure successful assembly by most enthusiast.

Thanks,
D-Dust Team[8D]

Hello Everyone! Sorry for the delay, we have been very hard at work getting the new kits repopulated and the manuals done. We appreciate everyones patience.
Jeff and I have been hard at work receiving new parts from Dubro and others. Please keep in mind that there are only two people working on this.
Like we mentioned before, this is not a large company with a bunch of man power and resources. We are now awaiting delivery of printed manuals and blue prints.

We will have a small run of Clipped wings versions as well. We also appologise for not updating the website, but will have new updates on the D-Dust site as to the release of the kits.
If any of you have any direct questions please send them to [email protected]

Thanks,
Gerry King
