Default Engine for a fast 20% (sport) Mustang?

I am debating a TF Mustang or a Starr Aircraft Stilleto as a reno racer style sport plane. Either way I plan on removing the belly scoop, modifying the canopy and clipping the wings.

I like the idea of an 80cc single cylinder engine because most of it will be hidden in the cowl, but I have concerns about vibration. I have also looked a 80cc to 111cc twins, but now the cost starts getting higher than originally planned.

Any engine recommendations? I am looking for what motors run better at higher RPM's, 10,000+ range.
