Geesh, buy a Jett-50 or 60LX. A Rossi-53 with pipe is not cheap so you might as well go all the way. Also the Webra-55 is lighter and faster than the Rossi.
Idunno... looks like the Rossi 53 really hauls butt !

I've found the perfect exhaust for my Pheonix F-20 - I've also got very fresh breath.

Hey guys, i am building a DC F20 and have a couple of questions.
1- I have the choice of two engines, Rossi 45 or a K&B screaming 48 ABC both with tuned exh. What engine would be better for this plane?

2-I was thinking of using two elevator servos tucked under the stab. Would HS81mg. be good enough this.

The wing is done with Hobico retracts, i am just working on the fuse at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.Phil

Clocked mine today with an on board speed sensor. I had a reading of 104.7 mph. Not bad for a prop job.

Hi everyone: In post 434 I requested a F-20 canopy! I took a chance and E-Mailed Cermark!! Stephen said they had 60 sized F-20 canopys in stock-$20. I just picked mine up at the Post Office- perfect condition-5days delivery. Great customer service.I also suggested he consider re-issueing the F-20but 10% bigger with a F/G fuselage-who knows-maybe some day. Cheers TED

I am going to build a DC/Juno F-20 with retracts and a Jett 60LX on 15% Cool Power. What would be the best prop that would give me a reasonable take off roll and a good top end?

Get it built first. Prop size is the least of your worries at the start of the project.
I would be more interested in how you are going to finish it...paint or covering. What kind of retracts are available...etc.

Just as a reminder, the DC F-20 is the same aircraft now offered by www.junorc.com

In fact, Dereks wood work is in some ways a bit better.

Found this thread looking for info on the plane. Alot of nice F20's out there. That and I found the instructions for the old cermark online and downloaded them. I picked mine up off someone that found it at an estate auction. It was pretty weathered from sitting and the covering was shot, some of the balsa was bad but overall the plane was in great shape. I am converting it to E-Power. Here she is so far.
