New whiplash, Can American scheme, with a newly airbrushed bottom!
Well, on Friday I received my Can-AM whiplash, the top looked good, but the bottom sucked, overall primer grey GRRRRRRR, why not at least spray a white on the bottom??
Well, not one to let that last, I airbrushed the bottom tonight, I wanted to keep with the same theme, first, here is the whip's factory paint job.
Now here's the bottom
And here's a close up of the leaf
So, whattya think ?

The bottom on all the airbrushed schemes are primer grey since everyone has different tastes in what they want the bottom to look like, if we painted yours white, you may have wanted blue or red, then that would have made the plane heavier if you had to go over it... granted white is a neutral color, but for example on the flames version, most people would want yellow instead of white so we try and keep it as neutral as we can, grey primer will cover easier than white in most cases, so since its primered already, you would just spray a light coat of your favorite color, or as in your case, airbrush a scheme... hope this clears up the reasoning behind the grey... nice scheme by the way...

Rick,
Why not use a white primer? that would help everyone that wants to paint them as unless you are spraying just dark colors, white is needed as a base first anyway. There are many white primers available as well
Just a suggestion, now if I could just get my damn engine here I'd be ready to fly it LOL!!!!!!

white primer
Believe it or not, the PPG white primer we use on all of our aircraft is actually heavier than the grey..
I may add that option to the products page and let the buyer make the choice... thanks for bringing this up as an issue, I always try and make things better, and you cant fix what you dont know is broken... appreciate the input..
