Help - need more speed

Hi folks,

This should be a simple question to you real speed freaks, I want to extract some more speed from my corex delta without changing engine/muffler.

It’s a simple corex delta powered by an Enya 30 heli engine, turning a 9x6 prop running 5% nitro. Whats the best approach to up the speed based on using other props and maybe upping the nitro?

If it makes any difference, I have used much higher nitro in the same engine when it was in the heli.

Cheers

Chris

Chris,

Try an 8x8 or 8x9 prop. Just remember the trade off for speed is less thrust when you are going slow.

Pitch = speed is the bottom line. A 9x6 won't get you the most speed. I echo Mark's comments on reccomended props 8 or 9 pitch with less diameter. Nitro won't give you r's. It usually lets you turn a larger load (i.e. pitch). You can give it a try. 15 or 20% certainly is not a problem.

Very nice website Chris!

Mark Mallory is one of the gurus. Sounds like good advice to me, give it a try.
