New Jett engine?
I was just on the Jett website doing as I do every so often and dreaming up what I could build for a new Jett...
I came across a listing for a BSE 1.00LX FIRE rated to turn Upwards of 14,500 with a 12X8 and below that lists 16,000 with a 10X10. I'm very excited to have come across this in the idea that it is a bigger badder .90LX, but I'm not sure if it's a mis-print or not, because it has roughly the same published numbers as the .90. Maybe this is not a new engine and I've just not noticed it before? Either way I think it's a cool idea for a patriot XL or similar... |
RE: New Jett engine?
Nope... its real.
It is a bad boy engine. Somewhat unknown, but it has been around informally for a while ... and it costs the most of all the options. I put it on the website a few months ago with the price updates. Dub built the first one for someone who wanted the ultimate power in this GP Toni. Seemed to fit the bill. The extra displacement give it a bit more torque than the 90LX. But that is tempered by some rpm limits... it needs more prop... it will not run like a fan engine. It really likes a 12x9. The 90LX is more comfortable with higher rpms running 11x8, 12x6 and 10x10 props. |
RE: New Jett engine?
Way cool things coming out of that shop. And thank you for answering my questions about the .76 and three bladed prop.
