Bob, I bet your Beretta has got a higher take-off speed as the one in the picture I posted... :D :D :D
The model is basically a modified Club 20 pylon racing plane without the minimum sizes dictated by the racing rules. The wing is thinner and the fuse is designed to accomodate the pipe on a rear exhaust engine. Fuse can be had in glass or kevlar. Wings are a foam glass balsa laminate. Tail feathers are laminated also. So wingspan is about 30", wing area is about 300 sq.in. The exact size actually aren't mentioned on the site, but since it's a modified Club 20 plane they shouldn't be too far off... Here is the link to their site: Jet & Speed Models It is an annoying site! That Rossi engine is supposed to produce 2.3 hp at 34K rpm...should make for an interesting sound... |
Yeah!!!
or as my redneck breathren would say "Aw He$$ Yeah!!!!!!!"
Now that is what a speed plane should look like!!!!!!!!!! |

We actually pylon race with these size motors and planes in Australia it is our Quater Midjet class most use Nova Rossi Car engines that are converted and modified to suit the set ups we use . No throttle flat out only full length un muffled tuned pipes rpm about 29000 on the ground and speed my radar tells me 175 MPH flying a 160meter long straight and then a 180 degree turn. 4 onces of fuel lasts about 1 minute 50 seconds.
