I'm working on one now with electric power, outrunner and two 2200ma packs. I think it will be a lot better as electric than IC (kinda light for IC I think). I don't like the wing mounting setup at all (I'm afraid a hard pylon style turn could pull the wing mounts out) All in all it's ok for a sport flyer but I think it's built lite for racing or very much speed. I post after I've got a flight or two on it.

I havn't had time to work on mine. I also was planning on using electric power 4020 16 on 5S.
I have no idea who makes the airplane. but the quality is very good, for a 100 dollar airframe.

S10,
Let us know how she fly's.

Hello All, I just ran across this plane. Any more info on it? how did it do? good points, bad points?  I have a Jett 40 and was looking at this plane to put it on, along with the Sundowner, Nemesis, and a few others. Thanks, Glen

Yeah I have one, its a pretty decent fast sport flier. The down side is that it likes a pitts muffler.

Jeff, Where did you get your Swift 40 from? Trying to see if i can get parts when needed. Can get on for about $140.00, but for $20.00 more can get a Sundowner 36. Just don't know............

Thanks, Glen

Morning all,

Well I did get the "Swift" in last night. I was hoping to get a load of information. Well the plane showed up in a brown shipping box, I opened it up and the plane's box is white. The whole thing! Nada, Nothing written on it! So I said, "There will be information on the instructions in the box." Nope! Just pictures on how to put it together. Dang!  What now?

I love the plane and I am happy with it. I just wanted to get Information on this plane. Where to get spare parts.

Glen

I think spare parts are unlikely.

RE: .40-.52 Swift Racer

even with nitro planes.,,, spares are very limited

planes once out of stock gone forever so you cant buy a 2nd plane for parts

Well, that is making me rethink about putting the Jett .40 on it. Great! Just Great! Back to the drawing board. Unless any one has parts/pieces. :D

In that case put a JETT .50 on it and then you won't have to worry about spare parts! :D:D:D

It would be best to contact the seller and see what kind of support is offered.

Tower and Horizon have a good support for their planes.*

* well once I needed a wing for the Uproar ARF, that was damaged in shipping... They only had new arf kits $99.95 at the time

Crazy,
That is just it, there is no information on this plane. No manufacture, no info. on the distruction paperwork, Nothing on the box. Nothing, nothing, nothing. I got this plane on ebay, the man I got this from didnt have any info. either. I loved the look of it, so i got it. Maybe that was bad for me.

EBARF some sellers are lower than a Belly Gunner on an Armadillo [:@][:'(][&:]

take a look at nitroplanes.com or richmodels they may have a clone of it & possibly the distruction manual

with a LHS you get to open the box and see its contents ;)

She looks like thishttp://www.citysound.co.il/ProductInfo.asp?ProdId=3 - and, in case you do not know the language :-) - wingspan is 1320mm, length is 1280mm, engine required is 46-53.

Well, I just started on the Swift.

The first one is in the box. The second on is laid out on the truck. The third is ailerons glued in. (I even drilled 2 small, small holes on each side of the henge to get plenty CA in.)

What is the best thing to use a pin on each side of the henge?

Thanks, Glen

round tooth picks

drill hole from bottom but not thru

pin it and trim the length

then 1 drop of CyA to seal the deal

Cool!
Will do tomorrow! Thanks for all the help. Now I have to figure out what power plant to use. While I am putting this bird together. I do still have the Jett SS40, but I don't have a bladder tank. I'll look and see what size I need.
Thanks, Glen
