Yup... I only use the throttle for starting, stopping and adjusting the engine... all the rest is WOT...
The plane isn't nearly as much fun when it doesn't move properly. I get annoyed when the the engine doesn't rev enough when I've got the needle a little too rich... I don't even continue flying when it's too rich... I land, adjust and try again... it has to move! Today a piece of carbon trim decided to take of from the right wing... I can tell you it was a handful controlling the plane with that crumbled piece of covering stuck to the pipe... It doesn't stick to the plane, but it definetely sticks to a hot pipe... Luckily I managed to get the plane down in one piece. |

Same thing happened to mine, it tears to so is useless once it has come off...
I have also noticed that the yellow covering won't take as much heat on the iron as Oracover, I wonder can you oracover the whole wing in clear covering to protect the decals? bit of a pity as after a season they start to look scrappy... |

I think Oracover carries a "carbon look" film... (not sure though)
This thing is already so heavy, putting a clear film all over the plane would make it too heavy IMHO... I learned here on RCU the decals weren't going to hold, so I just decided to fly the damn thing until they came off... and they do... so when everything is gone, I will put something different on it... The fact that it stuck so well to my hot pipe makes me think that you can get these things to stay in place by just going over them with a hot covering iron My wing decal came off right after take off, when the plane started speeding up, and the sound it made was interesting to say the least... I thought the spinner had come loose or something, but when the plane started to veer to the right uncontrollably I decided it was time to land... |

Weston are being screwed by the factory on the make of the yellow film, the CF film will not stick to it even if you use heat. havent tried any trim solvents tho

I found that the yelllow trim can only take quite a low heat setting or it curls up and melts... great for yellow streaks on your work shirt....
