Whiplash Servo?

I allmost have my Whiplash ready to go. My Jett Fire .50 is on it's way. I need to get the elevon servo's. What is everyone using? I was looking at the Hitec HS-5625MG's , but I never have used them. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig

Whiplash servo

Hi Craig;
Using a Jet Fire 50 you better stay with digital, coreless, 180 oz
servos, heavy duty arms and rods. Hitec 5945 will work to...
Then you can save your worries for good flying and smooth
landings.
I use JR 8411's, Airwild metal arms, and a litho ion 6
volt setup. That will give lots of up elevator for landing....
My pics and setup are on page 3 or 4..

Whiplash Servo?

I have 5945s on mine, work great, airwild arms with ball links.

horns

What horns are everyone using? Length of servo arm and horn?
Does the stuff at central hobbies work well?

Whiplash Horns

I used the ones that came with Whip.
Robarts with the three screw 120 degree attachment.
Moved the servos out 1/2 inch so the horn height
and servo arm length were the same...
Doing it again, I would use the Central Hobbies stuff.

Whiplash Servo?

I used the sullivan stainless steel horns & 1 1/2" airwild servo arms on hitec 5945 digitals, work great. I used great planes swivel ball links 4-40, the 4-40 bolts do not fit the sullivan horns & it is just about impossible to drill them but I have a hole punch tool made for punching stainless so I punched the holes on the horns to 4-40, worked good. The sullivan horns I used are 1 1/8".
