What Models ?

Can anyone identify this Nelson engine and this model plane? I think they were used in pylon racing. I bought some models from an estate and these were in the lot.

Looks like a Doddger except for the raked elevator. If so, it was a top Q500 contender in the 91-'93 era.

Ok, Thanks for the info! Is there a market for either of these items today? I have no use for them and would probably sell them If I could.

you can probably get a couple hundred total out of them.

$200 for both sounds about right. You may get a little more if you find the right buyer. Tough to see the quality of the plane in the picture.

Looks like an older Nelson, but that would be a quick way to get someone over 150 mph fast and relatively cheap.

From the trim on the wing I'd say it was built by an Italian, so it should have an ST or a Rossi.

The nose looks a little long to me for a doddger, but maybe not. The elevator is definately not per the plans, and also it looks like it may have dihydral. I don't believe it was designed to have any, but may be wrong.
