I love those "Going All Electric" sales...:D
I need a model for this Jett 120. I've got both the 120 and 90 size pipes. Anybody running one of these? |

Mine must be a little earlier than yous as I still have the needle valve on the carburetor. :D

i have one just ran in the big pipe and 90 pipe.
13x13N long pipe 10,800 13x8 90 pipe 12,900 13x11 90 pipe 10,400 mine does not seem very strong i will run my 120 AX but i think i got 11,300 on the 13x11 with muffler |

Just would have to see that to believe it, a OS equal to or stronger than a = Jett. Have not seen one yet, but a Webra 55 speed pulls one heck of a prop at close to 17K. Just chimming in to follow what goes as a Jett lover. |

RE: Model for a Jett 120 Big Block
just ran the OS 120 AX and got 10,400 on my modded muffler.
10,700 on the 120 jett muffler 11,100 on the 90 jett muffler this was on the same 13x11 prop. we have many engines that will out turn Jett engines. Our tower 75 will out turn ANY Jett 90 LX by 1,100 rpm on a 12x8 Oh year my 120 AX is bone stock the timing is near perfect for the transfers and crank timing. just need a bigger carb. Our thunder tiger GP42 with jett muffler and our mods will turn a 9x8 at 17,500 more than the sport jett engines of that size will. lol this is in a 9 ounce engine no muffler. Now i will say the Jett engines will out last ANY engine out there and thats why i will still buy them. we have not been able to beat my Jett BSE 35LX Fire special though 21,500 on a 8x7 and 23+ in the air |

Everyone seems to get hung up on ground rpm, it means little in real life.
Worry about unload rpm. |
RE: Model for a Jett 120 Big Block
yes that is true daven. we can simulate that in the air too on the ground though. we run smaller loads on the engine and plot the rpm readings. once its on a chart you can see where the engine is making most power and to help where to prop it.
I need a new front bearing on my Jett 120 though. it is spitting alot of fuel out the front and could be part of my low power of the Jett engine. I will run it today and get a base line with the 16x8. It does have good compression and will idle at 1,400 I need to get a 90 gold muffler to try out on these engines. |

I haven't had a chance to run this one yet. I'll try and get some numbers this weekend.

RE: Model for a Jett 120 Big Block
a quick update just ran the OS 120 AX. all bone stock on a APC 16x8 prop
on 5% nitro 18% oil with cheap fox plug with stock muffler with baffle and extension 8,400 with stock baffle removed 8,600 with my modded stock muffler 8,700 with jett 120 muffler 9,600 so now off to mount the jett 120 and run it on the 16x8 |

all i did was clean up the crank and fill with jb weld type epoxy. I just ran the jett 120 with 120 muffler and got 9,670 rpm. the Jett engine idles better than the OS. The OS runs higher rpm on the smaller props. the OS is going in my little revolver.
