Default Banning, why? is it true?

On www.torqueroll.com, people have been saying that RCU is banning people becasue the mentioned that site, why, is RCU scared they will lose money, members, jelous a new site people like has came about.?
this is a subject that has struck me funny, such a great huge sight like this will do that. I thought Id never see the day RCU would pull this kind of stunt. BUT , weather true or false, RCU is ok, the format needs some getting use too.

We wont ban for just mentioning another site, there is more to it. FWIW, these other sites are not perfect either.. Been seeing some odd stuff on them as well.

Ok, now comes another Question, why do you change www.T*********.com to www.********.com. I mean, what is it that is so bad about having links to other RC related Websites. In RC, we should enjoy the fellow ship of one another, and shared between both instead of trying to beat eachother into the ground. hum very wierd.

those that have been banned have abused the RCU system by sending mass PM's to members or Mass emails to our members via RCU's system. They also did more than post a simple link to any other site. They made blatant attempts to spam RCU with links to other sites with no purpose other than to intentionally drive users away from RCU.

RCU users come to RC Universe to read about RC related topics. Abusing our forums, email system or PM's to promote another forum without purpose is not allowed. Those who violated this rule because of their anger toward the changes here and abused the system in a vigilante manner were banned indeed.

It has been a long standing rule to allow links to RC resources on RCU and those who have been here for a long time know that. However when one sends out 100 Private Messages at a clip and abuses the system in this fashion they have been banned and if another wants to use RCU simply to promote another forum rather than to share a specific pertinent piece of information than we will not allow it just as they won't allow me to go to their site and post over and over "XYZ site sucks so come on over to blah.com where we are better than XYZ". That garbage WILL NOT be allowed here. All those who decided to become a renegade and try to overrun our forums or PM system with this SPAM have been removed. Members don't want to see this as evidenced by the volume of email and PM complaints I received about the actions, PM's, emails and posts of certain (now banned) individuals.

Furthermore, each one of those people removed from RCU raved about how good these "other" sites were and how bad RCU was so I don't see why they are even whining about it? Now they don't have to come here (since we suck) and they can spend all their time at those other sites that they love so much.
