I am very interested in building a gp tracer pattern aircraft, looking at the manual the engine is mounted inverted carb down. I would like to know if there is any way to mount the engine at least at a 45 degree angle, I have seen the venus with the engine mounted this way and would prefer to stay away from the upside down mount, I am not concerned with the cowl being trimmed different. THanks RIckey

My Saito 72 is mounted inverted. I used a gp 40-70 ("medium") mount. I dont see why you couldn't install it in an angle but why?
Connecting and disconnecting the glow plug is tricky but you can avoid the hassle by installing a remote glow plug connector

Attached is picture of a 46fx mounted on a Tracer at approximately 135 degrees. Not exactly, 135.. just nearly. You have to lay it out carefully to get everything lined up. You have to make a new hatch cover as well. Not difficult and much nicer than stock. You see it there with a Jett muffler. Currently is has a pipe header and a Macs quiet pipe. I opened up the belly pan to accomodate the pipe. It fits well considering the small amount of space available.
