Nice Landing . Did your camera get hurt at all? Did you mount on the bottom for stability?

The camera survived the flight, but if you look at the last few frames of the video you'll see I popped a wheel off.

I mounted it on the bottom of the boom mainly for the cool perspective. The transmitter was mounted on the underside of the wing so it was protected from my less-than-stellar landings.

I'll probably mount the camera just under the leading edge of the wing opposite where I have the transmitter to keep it up out of harms way. The landing gear isn't worth spit, so I'll also probably convert the plane to a belly lander.

I noticed that blackwidowAV seems to be sold out of the bwav200 systems. I think I am sold on the 200mW 2.4GHz system. I guess I could pick up the components and wire them up. I was planning on a simple three terminal regulator to bring my 8.4V to 5V for the system. Hopefully I won't need much of a heat sink at < 0.5A. Thanks for the hint on filtering the motor noise. I need to figure out how to break the sucker open (Aerobird).

That one might be just a little over the top Bill.

I love all those camera angles you come up with!

Over the top? Do you mean the music?

It is a Thelugu wedding song, I sort of liked the chant-like quality to the music (Enigma is also a favorite group of mine, although they tend toward Gregorian style chants with a hip beat)

I like the crazy camera angles, keeps me from getting bored with the video!

Yep, that music is wild!
I subconsciously went into a meditation position and I can’t get out of it.

What lens did you use for that video?
I'm thinking about ordering another camera from you and was wondering if you have anything in the 70-90 degree range.

Thanks
Jim

I used the stock 53 degree lense.

I don't have any wide angle lenses but the folks at www.rock2000.com sell compatible lenses. They aren't particularly cheap, but I like the 80 degree lense I got from them.

i dont care what anyone says about that thawkcam2 music, i'm still watching it from time to time to get me in the zone. i always planned to comment on it, but here i am almost a year later and on the other side of this orbiting rock and i'm still watching it. yb2n it rocks mate, excellent choice. with so many vids posted since this one, i still recommend this one to my mates. short and sweet can't be beat (hangon... maybe long and sweet can?)

big-ups from Brissy, Australia.
