I also have a hardcore addiction to Mustang Parts.
Just bought a Procharger PSC-1 w/ 3-core intercooler for the Mach. The old lady wasn't to happy about that.

Have you seen the new Cobra that's coming? If it were not for gas prices going through the roof, I would have one.
Cars and RC have been an addiction since I could barely walk. I got one of the first Tamiya RC Porchas when I was 11. They costs a pretty penny then, just for two channel radio and no fancy speed controls. I had a 65 Mustang Convertable in high school (should never have sold it, but it WAS a teenagers prized rust bucket).
Now I have to have one of every RC thing in the book it seems. I have a slightly souped up Miata and Tundra now. Need reliable vehicles. The Miata is like a gocart (lowered an inch, sticky tires). The truck is for hauling the other stuff around, and is great in the snow.
These bugs are hard to get rid of. But I tell my wife, it keeps me out of bars and from chasing other women. With my hobbies, I don't have the time or the money! Being afraid the Lord will wack me over the head with a 2 x 4 if I get out of line helps too. ;-)
Cheers!

YO DAK post some DYNO figures on the stang with the P1-SC! You will LOVE IT!!!!!!! If tuned right that blower should make close to 500 at the rear wheels @ 10 pounds of boost. I love mustangs as much as my planes but I am not a trooper so they have cost me alot more[:@]!

My Dodge Ram Quad 4X4 with a MSD, K&N, and big tires is my street/rock pounder[8D] other wise I got 1950 sq ft of airplane shop [X(]. The whole basement is mine. Here is tonight's product.
Mind you Bass1 deserves an award or treatment one, I am in awe my friend. I could never remove the seat for a more noble cause.

You guys have been listening to the almighty “P†too much., There is nothing wrong with your priorities. If RC planes and cars make you grin then go for it! As long as the bills are paid and no one is hungry than have at it. I’ve blown 30k in the last two years on this hobby and I’m having a ball. I've had the same wife for 28 years and she says as long as I'm keeping it for her eyes only it's OK.
I had a 98 Cobra HT, chrome yellow with a Vortech blower running 9 psi. The car made 520 hp at the rear wheels. I had 11k in the motor alone and several thousand in the suspension. What a great toy!!! I sold it after 2 years and have had 2 Expeditions since. I had to get a bigger vehicle to carry the planes as they got bigger. Right now I flying a 35% Carden Edge and I looking a several 40% planes. I’m leaning towards the 40% Carden 260 but looking hard at the Composite ARF 40% Extras. Here we go again.

Here is a project that has taken the back seat so I can fly more. I swear I have my priorities messed up.

Nothing Like a 1970 MACH 1 with a 351c 4v. That is being stroked out to a 393. HaHAAAAAAAa.

Sure, I spend a lot of dough on these planes, but that's about it. I have, pretty much, the same clothes that I have worn for the past 2-3 years and only 3 pairs of shoes. The only bodily maintenance stuff I need are TP, deoderant, shampoo, and toothe paste and I'm happy. Just let me spend what I don't spend on new clothes, shoes, and other luxuries on my only passion...radio control!!

By the way, still have a 1923 Model T with a Blown 750hp sitting in the garage that hasn't been driven in month's.Rather go FLYING!

I disagree. I feel that your priorities are spot on and that life (marriage, kids, mortgage, car payment) will screw up your priorities.
If you are happy then go for it and continue doing what you are doing. If your girlfriend doesn't like your hobby now, wait until you put a ring on her finger. I'm a firm believer in working to live and not living to work.

quads and planes, occasionally race stadiums or monster trucks in the winter. Last year I didnt get to do squat except take care of the girlfriends kids and listen to her complain about you name it! Srew that!! Her boy loved the rc stuff and I would take him to the track and race, bought him a quality rc truck as she had bought him probably 15 junk walmart rc's over the years that were all broke, she thought that it was to much pressure for a 11 year old to have a 150$ electic truck, atleast that was her excuse. Single again this year and life is good. Kitchen table has a foamy on it in need of some repair, radio case on the coffe table and not a soul to say anything about it. The forecast calls for sun and 5-10mph winds. [8D]

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your priorities. I have more kits, plans and engines than I can ever use, I'm retired, unless I live to be 120 years old. Tell her it makes you happy and that you are more fun to be with when you are happy. If she will buy that you are home free.

well guess its my turn, i have been in this hobby for 19 years, lost 2 wifes to it. but thats fine, i now have a girl friend that is really enjoying time at the field and now is starting to learn to fly! (the bug bit her) i have a attached 3 car garage but do you really think there is a car in there?????????? NOPE its all planes!!! 3 building tables with planes on each, ceiling is covered with them. 6x11 trailer in the drive to haul them and a truck that usally only goes somewhere when there is a plane in it or pulling that trailer. hmmmm what will i do for room if she decided she wants to learn to build???

I know what you mean baxternick. I used to fly every chance I could and build everything under the sun 12 years ago. I finally had to give up the hobby for a short period to start a business, get a house and some land. I guess it was worth it, because I have my own flying field and still have the same planes I had 12 years ago along with some new ones. It was all a matter of Priorities.

ok, well here is my story, i am 22 live in a 2 br. apt. my second br is my workshop. got a g/f while living there and told her she could do whatever she wanted but DONT touch the workshop or my entertainment center. all went well till i told her she would go before my planes would go.(that was an interesting night) remarkably she is still with me so i guess she understands the passion we all have for this hobby. ill post some pics of my "workshop".

I guess I am lucky. I have been married almost 8 years and my wife bought me a 10X for our first anniversary. In the last couple of months she has take an 10 hour road trip and a 14 hour road trip with me just to pick up a trailer and a 3.3 Yak. She knows the difference between an Extra and an Edge and she knows who Sean Tucker, Jason Shulman, among others are and she lets me go to Joe Nall every year with my dad. I think if you spend time together and like one anothers company you will at least show an interest in each other's hobbies. As stated I am lucky!

I deff agree. priorties first., i took a league of absence fro the hobby. i still have all my big gasses but i dont fly then nearly as much as i use to cuz im cant afford to replace them if they crash so i fly much smaller planes. I wanted a helicopter so i bought the E-Flight an im happy with it. it may not be as cool as a .30 size but its still flying right guys!!?lol

10 PSI @ 6000 RPM
Bassani X-Pipe
Bassani Mid Length Headers
Flowamaster Cat Back
PHP Intake Spacer
Procharger PSC-1 w/ 3 Core Intercooler
Dyno Tune with 93 & 100 Octane Programs
11.43 @ 124 mph on M/T 17" Drag Radials
The 32 valve engine in the Mach 1 Redlines @ 6800 RPM. The run above and dyno pull are only to 6000 RPM. The compression ratio on these motors is 10:1 and to make the engine live a little longer I short shift. @ 6900 RPM the car made 13psi and another 75 hp and 32 tq. On Slicks, 6800 RPM Shifts and the 100 Octane Program the car will easily go high 10s @ around 129 mph. This car is a sleeper is some ways. Looks bone stock. I obviously don't condone street racing but I can guarantee this car will eat up 99.9% of the street legal cars on the road. I know I haven't lost yet to anything.
