anyone know anything about the IMAX B6 charger?

I have been contemplating upgrading my 3 cell charger. This unit claimes to do up to 6 cells along with all the other types(nicad,nmhd,A123 etc.)

It also has balance ports and discharge capabilities.

all this for approx 120 shipped

You can find the unit on ebay. I do not know how to provide a link so if someone could check it out for me I would be greatfull.

some units also include a temp prope.

I think this is a rip off version of the bantam bc6, but I could be wrong, the bantam chargers are great chargers, and I've heard some positive things about the imax rip off's, but I don't really know from first hand experience. If it was me though, I would go with the brand name, it'll cost you about $40 more (maybe a little more if you count shipping). GL

I got it from Quantifly and I believe we are talking about the same ebayer as they are the only seller that come with a free temperature probe. Anyone know where I can send mine in to get it fixed? It says voltage error when I try to charge a lipo. My Triton charges it with no problems. PM me with any help you can offer!

I use an iMax B6 Quattro charger for all my car/plane lipos. So far, no issues at all. My pit space is much cleaner with one unit, rather than 2-3 chargers. Just keep all your wires organized and make sure your power supply is strong enough (24amps). The charger comes with one Thunder Power style balancer and one "SMC" style balancer... so, you may need to buy more balance boards on your own. I recommend this charger to all my customers and have had no complaints.

The only downside is... if you ever need repairs, there's goes 4 chargers. haha. For repairs, you generally return it to the store you purchased it from. They'll take care of it for you (return/exchange). My importer said they would exchange it for a new one.

hey I work for Hobby Lobby and we sell the Imax chargers. MXryder, does it say low voltage error or High voltage error? If it's High then run the battery down a bit, then balance charge it. if it's low, then your cell may be bad. good luck
