Default Hitec Servos and A123 Batteries

Can Hitec digital servos, specifically the 5985, be used with the A123 batteries without voltage regulators?

So far there have been no reported issues using the A123 batteries without a regulator with our digital servos.

Ive got 4 5985 and 4 5955 on A123 ...so far they are no different nor is the voltage than using a 6v nimh pack, run about 6.6v except when fresh of the charger.
