TM-14 Module for 12Z, Any loss of features ?

My Feedback: (24)
Have a TM14 module/receiver on the way (hopefully) for my 12Z. Will I lose any 12Z features utilizing the module ? Also, does the new native 2.4 12 channel system have any additional features ..... than a 12Z with a module ?
Thanks. Bob

Hi Bob,
You will lose no features going with a FASST 2.4GHz module in any of our Futaba radios.
There is NO "native" 2.4GHz system. You are thinking of the 12FG, but it is sold with a TM-14 module not with the 2.4gHz built in.

Krysta,
I just got notice that my TM14 Module and receiver is being shipped to me possibly today but probally Monday. I notice that the FFC has just posted the software update for the 12FG, but not yet for the 12Z (which I have). Is the software update for the 12Z going to be available soon?
Thanks,
Andy S.

Hi Andy,
Yes, and good news, Hobbico is going to post all of these updates not only on the Futaba Flyers Club site, but they are also going to post them on the Futaba-rc website also. This will make it easy for anyone who owns one of these radios to do the FASST updates. Hopefully these updates will be on our Futaba site within the next few days.

Hi Krysta,
As a suggestion, maybe you could make a "sticky" here in the support forum listing the various updateable radio systems and the latest versions, and an indication where they could be downloaded. Might make it easier for users to see if they have the latest.
I sure hope the 12Z update is available by Thursday - when my TM14 Module and receiver is scheduled to arrive...
Thanks for all the support and Happy New Year!

I have just received my Fasst module from Tower to convert my 12FG and I can't do it because I'm not in the USA. Why isnt this download available to me after spending 1200 dollars on the 72 mhz 12Fg and 400 dollars on the fasst module and receiver, is it a secret? Can someone give me a link to enable me to download the software?

If you have the 12FG you can download the software from www.ripmax.com which at present only has the 2.4 update for the 12FG
