Yes but is that going to be better than the redcat upgraded plate?
Looks like that one would get more steering also.

Here i have done the same thing with the redcat upgraded plate and can also be done to the stock plate. Just grinding down the area that hits the diff case is like the plate that Eddie is trying.

The upgrade that I put together has a few better points about it. The pivot point is out where it should be instead of pushing into the steering plate and the original doesn't even have that option. That makes it steer much better. There are no bushings in the upgrade they are ball bearings, so please don't compare grinding and washers to the upgrade I'm offering. If I don't sell one unit I really don't care, I just made the offer because I came accross it when I was repairing a couple of Avalanches for my customers. [X(]

Im not saying yours was a bad idea or it would not work. Im just saying the reason the plate is bending is because it stops on the diff case and by grinding down this spot it will act the same way yours will. It gives it better steering also and if someone wanted to prevent the plate from bending they can simply grind the plate down. The whole point in this post or my steering mod post is to fix this problem with the bending plate wether it be my fix or yours. They both have the same outcome.
