Hello all,
I have seen some nice Tamiya rig in this forum and thought maybe i can preview one of my upcoming rig.
I have posteded my truck here b4, but now that is history becasue it has been completely stripped down and under rebuild now~~~
I like Formula One alot, and was just wondering why i dont see any mod of the Tamiya/Wedico rig to become a F1 motorhome~~
So to expand this idea, i have ask one of my friend (a model expert) to basically help me to build a complete body shell~~~~
Here is my old truck~

How are you modifying the body?
Are you cutting up a static model for parts?

I will post his work later tonight......
It would be too much work to modify the Volvo body anyway~~~

its slightly different chassis though.. the Volvo has two twin rear wheel axle's, the Renault has one twin and one single wheel rear axle.

I have opted to use 6x4 confirguration for my truck since i think its more cool to have more wheels~~~~
And when the trailer is done, it shall look 90% the same~~..hehee[>:]

That's cool that your friend built the scratch.
How does he do that (materials used)?

Here are some updated picture,
The wheel arch and side skirt are both under modification for better fitting, and the upcoming task is the trailer construction~

That looks great [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Does the cab (white part) tilt forward?

the cab cannot be tilted forward, considering the extra screws and joints will decrease the realism of this truck so i decided not to have that function.
THe white part is attached to the yellow bit by 4 screws on the side, so incase maintenance needs to take place, i can do it by rmoving those 4 scres and the white part will come off as a whole~

Are you sure they didn't base the real truck off of your model?
There is hardly much difference between the two - just window tint & wheels.

I was thinking of buying the new freeze trailer to carry out the modification, but that my previous trailer already modified to 3-axle, and its knida a waste if i just throw it off and get a new one....so i stick on with my previous trailer which is a bit shorter than the new one~
