Default Twin motors one ESC? Amps?

Is it ok to connect two motors (brushed) to one ESC? What will happen to the Amp rating? I have 2 480 motors and want to use one ESC to control them. I know they draw about 11 amps at full load in the water so with 2 of them will this be 22 Amps?

Load will double

Be sure the ESC AND cells can handle it. If 11A is accurate the current being passed will result in 22A with 2 motors.

You mean series vs parallel? How would that affect Amp draw?

someone here just explained. In series, the RPMs will go down and voltage will be "split" between them the amps will remain the same. In parallel, the voltage will be the same for both but amps will double.

Parallel motors is what we used 95% of the time. In the end it equates to more wattage.

Scale boats typically would use series wired motors more than we would as max power is not as much of a concern.

However, since the majority of us use BL motors, this no longer applies for motors/esc's.

EDIT:
In series, the RPMs will go down and voltage will be "split" between them the amps will remain the same
Current will drop since voltage drops. You will see less overal current for 2 motors in series vs 1 motor. In other words you will get more overal power from 1 motor than 2 motors wired in series.

Of course not, 4 * 10 = 40Amps. That boat draws more.
