Going flybarless
Other then littel tidbits that I get from heli mags I'm tring to find out how to fly without flybars and no stabilizing systems.
I read in RC Heli a little side note about using very soft dampners if you want to fly scale. I have no interest in 3D stuff. I want onboard video and do virtual flying. If what I understand about disc loading is correct, there must be ways to change blade with and length to enhance longer flights and greater payloads. I think that a gaser will do a good job to start. I wonder if a quad rotor head needs a stabilizer system and what is a good book to get to become enlightened? dannoh40 and his fly right boys |
RE: Going flybarless
Flybarless without a system is doable but not ideal.
I don't really know of any book that addresses it. I'm putting a VBar on my 4 blade system. Heavy blades seems to be the ticket. |
RE: Going flybarless
OK...soft dampeners...heavy blades...cool
Does the v-bar us an electronic stabilizer systems?....What Im trying to do right now is to make my X-450se,v2 fly longer,no flybar & more payload. Am I right to assume that a shorter, but wider blade will result in the same lift? and that with 4 blade roter you could have a shorter tail boom because you could use shorter rotor blades? Thats enough for now but I have more questions so if anyone can pass me on to The site heli wizard pleas do so. Dannoh40 & his fly right boys is there such a thing as waterproff heli's ?????? |
RE: Going flybarless
I have yet to find an electronic item that is truly "waterproof". They can be made water resistant, but not waterproof. If you want to know how, I can share that.
Sadly though, no info on 4 blade setups. Later. |
RE: Going flybarless
Yea, Heavy blades, lower rotor rpm, halve the travel of the swash than it would be on a flybar system and make sure phasing is correct.;)
I have a 3 blade system that flies fine without the aid of stablising systems, so it is totally doable:D |
RE: Going flybarless
Thanks a mill folks..I,m going to try these tips on my HDX 450 and HDX 500.
Thanks...dannoh40 & his fly-right boys |
