Multi motor problem
Brand new twin. Art. When recommended, freshly charged battery is plugged in, escs beep at about 2 beeps per second. With or without receiver plugged in. I am able to bind the receiver. But still getting beeping. No motor response, just a little jitter. Am I doing something wrong?

The controller is trying to tell you something about its status in beep/morse code, using the motor as a poor loudspeaker.
Look up or google (make/type manual/instructions beep code) the code, several codes.
In case you have a Futaba transmitter, Futaba's need to have their throttle channel reversed.
The controller is using the motor as a poor and cheap loudspeaker, no buzzer/speaker needed. In a loudspeaker a coil moves in/because of changes in magnetic field, same for motor. In a motor magnets move because of changes in magnetic field.

- Two problems
◦ Voltage spikes higher than battery voltage: transistor/FET/chip breakdown.
◦ Current through input capacitors too high: caps overheating/popping/exploding. - Example: four costly controllers consecutively cremated
- Solution I: simply lengthen the motor wires instead
- Solution II: add extra capacitors, rules of thumb

- How & where (not) to add extra capacitors
