Make sure that Radio you buy is on 72MHZ which is made for aircraft use. 75 MHZ is for cars and boats only. Sounds like everything else is ok. It's a great flying airplane. I loved the way mine flew. I'd also look at purchasing a radio such as the JR 6102 that comes with 4 micro servos and the receiver for 239.99. It's a 6 channel ten model memory. The Lazer 6 you mentioned has two standard size servos that you will not be able to use on your Tribute.

well I'm more worried about the price then anything else. i will not be going into glow or gas air planes. i will only use the foamies. the price is right and the gas ones take more time and money then i want or are able to spend since the new baby. I need something basic 6 Chan's so i don't have to replace later if i get more fancy ect. would be nice if it came with a sub micro receiver and servos but its not necessary. What about chargers?

The JR 6102 radio is available with micro or sub micro servos and the great 610UL Rx. I use the 610UL in my Eflite Ultimate it's small and light.

I really like the Astro 109 charger I have. It charges quickly and has been flawless thus far for me. It's also very easy to set. Plug the battery and turn 1 knob you're done.

I'd also consider an outrunner motor. Like the HiMax 2812-0650 or 0850. I use the 0650 and it's great. Very quiet and no gears to break. Pulls the 14.4oz Ultimate straight up very well with an APC 11x4.7 SF prop and gets 20+ minute flights of mostly 3D. I would get the 0850 next time though for just a bit more power.

You could look for the E-Flite 20A brushless ESC, it would be cheaper. I'd go for the Himax outrunner as well, I ordered mine for my Ultimate for the stick mount.

Unfortunately no pic of it. Just look around the site or seach on www.horizonhobby.com to find the receiver and the 6102 pic.

Ok just to update .. pickec up a 370 BL with a e-flite controler, 4 hs-55's new prop, Charger, forgot the battery going to get a thunder power 1300mah 3 cell pack...

When i told the guy at the hobby shop today i wanted to do 3d he said with a 4 chan radio i had to use a Y harness for the front flaps and i cant move them independantly... humph... that cant be good can it? so he said to get a 5 or 6 chan radio and something computerized... yet again i keep hearing this. soooooo Anyone have a used one they wanna sell cheep or something? How about some recomendations for a inexpensive 6 chan computerized radio.......... I really wanted something for about $100 but it doesnt look like that is going to happen......................
