Default So You Want Speed??

I recently had my Lil' Thunder twin clock at 82 m.p.h. in flat and level flight. Not bad for a 16" wing. It was still very stable, controllable, and fun to fly. The drive train is two 36 turn Feigao motors and 3x3 GWS props.

I should add that if you don't pull out of a dive fast enough this is the result.

This was my first twin.

I was there on Sunday when they clocked him at 82 mph. It does fly very well. What size Feigao is the 36 turn? Is that the 5300? I like the size as it would even fit in a suitcase.

No, these are the 4100kv motors. I think it would be insane fast with the 5300kv motors.

I have not seen the twin but I saw a single version fly with the 5300 and that was fast. It looked very stable inspite of the speed. The pilot was having a good time flying it. Are you thinking of making a twin with 5300s.

Sorry about the late response but the answer is, heck no. The one I have now is fast enough.
