Default Zagi Tazz mods(links fixed now)

A couple of Zagi Tazz mods I though I would share...

First, I added a piece of scrap plastic to the underside of the motor mount. this is to guide the Zip Tie back up to the other hole if you ever need to take the motor off...

Second is a cover mod...the stock thing to do is tape on the side..well as it has been talked about high speed can lift the cover off. I decided to make a catch for the front of the tray and use 2 pieces of velcro..one on each side of the tray to hold it down. clean and neat.

I have considered making a couple of finger holes in the bottom of the radio tray to aid in a more graceful launch..but I have not do this just yet...we will see how it goes on the initial flights

Midwest, I got it now!

The first pic.was a little disorienting at first, but all good ideas! Thanks!
Curling up the zip tie several times before installing works also, just takes a little longer to find the opposite hole(s).

I like to use 2 zip ties on the Tazz, just me maybe but it seems more secure that way. Hate to have that BAD BOY come off at WOT. WOW!!

Good ideas, Ilearned the hard way that the cover comes off during fast stuff. In the desert in Iraq, with a plane sent by Greg Covey, Im i a HIGH SPEED dive, tryin to get some good video and pics and the hatch cover came off, got sliced by the prop and broke the prop. No big deal, just landed without power. But, sliced a nice, neat hole in my hatch cover.

Someone gave me a super simple fix to the hatch cover. I cant beleive I didnt think of it, just tape or hinge it in the front. Too easy.

Imopar,

Did any of your buddies get a wing yet, for a little air to air combat?

Happy Flying!
