Default Building G2 Shockflyer

I'm assuming shockflyers are fomies? I'm buiding a Nemesis shockflyer. I've built a number of G1's but Ikarus have actually managee to make the building instructions worse with his one.

I'm not sure how to fix the two rear landing gear carbon rods into the fuselage. Just push em through the holes provided and fix in place with a small blob of epoxy?

Thanks,

I built an F3A. These are great flying planes but, you're right, the directions leave something to be desired. On my last one I epoxied the back landing gear like you described. This time I'm going to try to keep it floating (maybe with a couple of small o-rings). I think this will help avoid tearing up the fuse on some of my rougher landings.

Any other ideas,
Tim

Hmm,

Got to do my s\test flight. Man these G2's are solid in the sky!

I would reccomend against the floatingoptin. I land on grass so I need to stall my shockfly in. The floating undercarrage goes straight through my wing.

I tied mine together with thread and then just glued it into place... now after breaking it many times it looks like a flat piece of all glue with little foam pieces in it. the next one will have 64th ply around it, a circle about the same size as the plastic pieces in the front part of the gear. Ill just glue the circles to both sides and run the landing gear rods through it to that point and glue it all together and possible tie it together with thread.
