My bother in law got me a Projetti for Christmas. It is in the basement waiting to get built. Need suggestions for brushless motor setup. I WANT TO USE 3 cell 2100mah LIPO 20C. I am looking for some advice for a FAST PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great plane, built for speed. Smooth leading edges, tapered trailing edges, flies like it is on rails! Currently my favorite one. I run mine with an E-Flite Series 6 2700Kv motor and an APC 4.75 x 5.5 prop. Unbelievable performance! 100+ MPH no doubt. Pulls around 25 amps on a 3cell 20C 2100 lipo. Fast, fast, fast!! You will not be disappointed with that power setup. I haven't got an official radar reading on it yet, but if it's not around 110+ mph straight and level, I'd be surprised.

Give yourself time to bleed off speed, it glides great under no power, but it just wants to keep going.

Thanks SPID. Will get this and get the thing running. I know it is a FAST plane as a friend had one but was using the 3300mah battery. What size esc and servo's are you using? Thanks.

I'm using an E-Flite 40amp ESC and (2) S75 servos (HS55 equiv.) The servos are performing very well. HS-65's (karbonite gears) would be an option as well if you are concerned about stripping the servo gears. But I haven't had any problems.

2100-2250Mah 3 cell 20C Lipo is really all you need and it saves you some weight. You'll still get plenty of WOT, knee knocking high speed flight. Good stuff!
