perrin:
Go over to RCGroups in the scratchbuild foamy section. There is a sticky at the top for plans. Check out the STC or Blue Baby trainers and builds. Had a STC and it was a great, docile trainer and easy to build with excellent pictorial plans and assembly instructions. Also many other good flying plans put up by modelers just like you and I.

Happy Flying

perrin,
Bob is right, go to R/CGroups and check out the Blue Baby Trainer. I built the 33 inch model for exactly the same reason you want a trainer for, to teach my wife to fly. She soloed in 45 min. and this was without a buddy box it was her with the TX and me coaching. This is hands down the easiest plane to fly that I have ever seen.
