A guy I fly with is running that same setup, it actually flies very well. I have those servos in two planes of my own and really like them. Save yourself the shipping and get 4 or 5 servos and a couple of gear kits, you will want the ailerons. Just note that you can only use a 3s battery with that speed control.

That ESC can handle NiMh, 2 cell Lipo and 3 cell Lipo batteries. You cannot use more than a 3 cell lipo with it. Here is the manual. http://www.graysonhobby.com/catalog/manuals.php

That motor / esc combo is fine with your 2 cell lipo.

I have the older aluminum stick version w/ speed 400 brushed setup. I regret not initially installing the ailerons, I added them with the dihedral which apperently makes inverted flight difficult at best. I love the ailerons regardless and bought another plane for the spare parts, planning on a flat wing this time. You might extend the aileron length for quicker respose, I went with the mold lines. Including a couple of pic's. I just cut out around the servos and epoxied them in the wings. Junk the GWS tape and go with 3M, I covered all surfaces both sides. Some initial concern regarding weight but guys are flying hand held cameras with these planes, it's a park flier anyway. There was a link floating around with 10 "must do" mods, I added a landing gear brace, have the motor pitch down and right 3 degrees. Added 2.25" foamie wheels up front and 1" in the back, taxies off the local football field just fine, ~10-15ft WOT, and climbs great. Loops are no problem, rolls with the dihedral in are slow and lots of altitude loss.

Electrifly C-12 brushed ESC
4 Hitek HS-55 servos
Common sense 7.4/800maH 8C Lipo (use them in the Blade CX2, more throttle than the NiMH 7.4)
Home made steerable tail wheel, rudder driven
JR Sport 400

RCU search engine won't pull this up about 80% of the time but there are 18 pages on the thread, lots of good info, heres the drilldown:
All Forums >> Electric Aircraft Universe >> Park Flyers & Backyard Flyers >> RE: Slow stick Forum!! (Page 2, about 9 lines down)
