Default Foamie for backyard

I want a foamy to fly in my backyard. I want it to be cheap, as I have every intention on trying manuevers I can do. What do you all think of this setup:

Foam Safe-CA (Light or medium?)
Hinge Tape (What kind?)
What Propellor is recommended?

What else do I need? Is there anything at all. Im new to foamies.

Thanks

This is always my first suggestion. I think the kit is $160, so not that cheap, but I got 1000 flights out of my first one prior to it's retirement.

It would do it`s job I think. Most of the foamies are just flat things...
Hope the fuselage isn`t too sloppy, there seems to be some carbon ensuring it could be stiff enough.
I am always looking for as lightweight parts as possible for my indoor planes, thus I would have been looking for a smaller motor, maybe appr. 35-40 gram. And I guess a 3S500 LiPo is sufficent.
Remember: if you save 30 gram it makes a far better plane in this size

Not sure what this "C"-foam is? If it is like EPP the hinge tape won`t stick too good...

To tape an epp hinge, you apply a light coating of glue, preferably UHU Por, thenr tape once the glue is dry. The Lightflite bug in the vid is on 2s5oo batteries and weighs in at 7.5 ozs. with a 3s battery it is an absolute rockrt.

Shorty, I like the Critter on BPhobbies. It looks like a great alternative to the liteflight bug and much cheaper. That way, incase you don't like it very much, you didn't waste that much money. With a better paint job that could be a much better looking plane.

Hey Shorty, then *just* in case you feel like building one which won't take but a night or two.....

:-)  I haven't built one of these yet, but it's on my list.

Shorty, I like the Critter on BPhobbies.
You can glue up something similar with one sheet of Readiboard if you've got a Dollar Tree close by and the foam will just cost you a dollar: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=836389Yes, you've got to get the paper off of the foam to make it lighter but if you're interested I can tell you how. Sorry guys, I don't have much experience yet with the RCU forums or I'd post RCU links. And it's just an option Shorty, if you'd rather have something ready to go that's absolutely cool. Whatever gets you in the air brother!

P.S. Oh sorry, if you want something flat: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=553823

I hope it is not too breezy in your back yard, because a flat foam biplane would be about the worst possible choice. Anything more than a 3 mph is going to be tough.
