RE: Ele Bee Covering

G'day. just posted pic's of my ME163c EPP foamy that i covered with profilm here [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2497262/anchors_2497262/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#2497262[/link]
I gave the whole thing a light mist coat of 3M Multipurpose spray and let it dry first.
Then away i went with the chrome Profilm. It works great and i didn't have any problems with the foam melting at all.
Best thing to do is get yourself some scrap EPP and styro and test it out so you know how hot you can get it before anything happens.
I wouldn't hesitate using it infact some friends have got me to do theirs aswell.
When i first did mine i wanted to get it as smooth as i could so i coated the fuse with white wood glue mixed 50/50 with water
and then layed tissue paper over it.
After it dried i sanded it smooth then covered it. I covered the wing as is with only a mist coat of spray glue and it turned out just as good as the fuse.
I didn't bother using the white glue and tissue again with the others i covered as it wasn't worth the hassle and they turned out just the same.
All i can say is find it's limits and go for it.
