Can someone explain?
Can someone please tell me what the "Kv" on the end of the brushless motor title stands for? Example, 1500Kv
Thanks, Kevin |
RE: Can someone explain?
KV = RPM per volt

RE: Can someone explain?
eg.
1500 kv with 7.4 Volt LiPo (2 cell) = 1500 x 7.4 = 11,100 RPM. This is theoretical, as the motor RPM is normally a bit lower than this when spinning a Prop. |
RE: Can someone explain?
So the bigger the number the more speed, and the smaller the number the more torque.

RE: Can someone explain?
Yes

RE: Can someone explain?
I always thought Kv was Kilovolt!

RE: Can someone explain?
A KiloVolt is equal to one thousand volts. It's a constant value. ;):)
