boomzillai have a questioni`m trying to build a 72 inch zagi like you did. wherei`s balance point? and please tell me how to wire two motor`s speed 400 s willi need two battery packs`?i have a reg zagi ibuilt out of blue foame alaways an advenger both use speed 400s with esc 18 watt`s but not sure if i can use sane batt packs for twin 400s i`m not to swify when it comes to eletronic`sany help would app thank you i live in northern ind beloing to wing dingers club & lagrange co.rc club ama is670790 thanks gord

I'm wondering if you have any lateral control issues like wagging side to side, side slipping in turns or tip stalling.

I have a 72" Mongo that did the side slip and slide untill I put the tiplets on it. Now I have total control.

If you are having the same issue, you can make tiplets from coroplst or foam board from the craft store one you soak off the paper. It does not take a lot to stablize it.

Also look at http://home1.gte.net/texhills/page2.html I basically took their dimensions x 1.5

I run with 2 8-cell 1700mAh AA NIMH packs in parallel and a single 30-amp speed controller. A sub-C pack would probably be the best though. Look at one of the many Twinjet threads for motor suggestions.

I haven't seen any real side slipping problems, but I haven't tried anything real crazy with it yet (except for one near-fatal roll attempt). My trick for tip-stalls is to make the root of the wing with a flat bottom and the tips with a semi-symmetrical airfoil. This way the tips tend to be last part of the wing to stall. The control surfaces are a bit small, it will loop OK, but pushing the stick all the way to one side just gives it a gental suggestion which way to turn.

I put this thing together as a goof with the DOW label out (I get a lot of ribbing from the slimers at the local flying field), but it flies pretty well.

I read on ezone that denatured alcohol will take off the printing. I have not tried it yet.

I've tried isopropol, but it only took it about half way off, maybe with more scrubbing. I heard coleman fuel is the ticket, but haven't tried it.

Denatured alcohol is different from the iso stuff. It's at the drugstore and may "completely denatured" on it. It is stuff that will actually burn, but should be safer and eaier to handle then fuel. WWill only cost a buck or two to try out also.

Let me know if it works. I have not tried it either.

Has anyone tried to use BlueCor for making ribs? I'm working on a design that uses typical rib and spar contruction and I'm looking for something good to use for rib material and a good way to cut them out.
