None of the fixes seem to apply to me.
I keep getting Email messages about being subscribed to threads, but NONE of the Email refers to threads on my subscribed list.
I try to navigate to forums through the forum list, and have been unsuccessful. The only page I can get to holds posts from every forum, including ones that are not on my forum list.

Sorry about all the issues you're having. Let me try to help. See above for the login-related stuff.
You're probably seeing lots of new threads sending you notifications. That's because the new default setting is to subscribe you to any thread you've replied to.
To change that, go to SETTINGS, GENERAL SETTINGS, MESSAGING AND NOTIFICATION, and set DEFAULT SUBSCRIPTION MODE to DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.
It sounds like you're also seeing an issue where your old subscriptions from before the upgrade are no longer sending you alerts at all. Is that right? This is something we are working on now as well.
You can use My Foums to get to your subscribed forums, just as before; you may need to SCROLL DOWN past the top section in order to see your usual list, but they are there. If you are subscribed to a LOT of forums, you may have to scroll a bit (some people are subscribed to thousands).
Hope this helps!

1 : Go to the RCU forum http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum and clear your browser cookies
2 : Go to the RCU home page http://www.rcuniverse.com and clear your browser cookies
3 : (at this point the homepage and forum will NOT show you logged in)
4: Log in on the homepage at http://www.rcuniverse.com
5: Click to go into the forum
Be sure you are clearing ALL RCU cookies -- your individual browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) will vary on how to do this.
These are login/logout issues that have persisted over the last couple of days and they are our #1 PRIORITY to fix.
Thank you for your patience!

Unfortunately the one thing I loved about RCU is apparently gone forever, "It was different". Now it is so similar to all the other sites, it may as well be one of them. We don't like the colors, or the navigation, or all the links to the same thing. The page layouts are more difficult. The "return to top" then go elsewhere sucks. The photos in a thread is viewed differently and not as enlargeable. I don't know about anyone else but I for one am real disappointed and really miss the old RCU. It was more like being home, now it's like being at the in-laws!!!
We have been reading your comments and really appreciate your effort on reporting your bugs! This is the only way we can be sure we're addressing them all, so thank you.

When will the "My Forums" be fixed? When I click on it I get the Page not found message.. When I click on "New Posts" I really hate having to look at all of the other forums that i'm not interested in. Including the Car, Tank and Boat forums.

The issue I have now is that the all of the problems that I reported a few pages ago are back today. I have also still not seen any response to my question regarding the Enter key not working in the reply box. I also tried to post this response a while ago and it said I did not have permission even when I was supposedly logged in and the "Posting Permissions" box show's I can do everything.
If you were getting that message it means you appeared to be logged in but were not actually. Part of the bigger login issues we've been seeing.

For those receiving PAGE NOT FOUND or 500 - SERVER ERROR messages:
Log out of RCU.
Clear your browser's history and cache.
Close your browser. If you are on a Windows computer create a Command prompt (Windows Key + r), and then type "cmd". In the command box type in "ipconfig/flushdns" and hit enter (this will flush your DNS cache). Now open back up your browser and try to log into RCU. If the new forums still don't pull up type ctrl + F5 to force a refresh on your browser.

This does not work when you type in "ipconfig/flushdns" as it gives a message that ipconfig/flushdns can not be found. However, if the command ipconfig is separated by a space before the switch (/flushdns) it will work. The correct format is "ipconfig /flushdns". I hope this helps everyone that is having trouble with getting the command to work. Just a little something I learned back in the good ole DOS days. Of course they reiterated this in the "Information Technology Computer Networking Systems" Degree Program too, LOL.

The messages are not going to a spam filter. I got 2 messages today plus a message telling me that you had replied to me. When I took the forum url: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/foru...-new-post.html
I got a "Database Error" page. When I went to RCU homepage and took any Forum link I got a..."Database Error" message page. When I look at my account and subscriptions it shows zero! Not even this one. Prior to the upgrade I was subscribed to over 100 threads. I was getting 300 messages a day from RCU. Now I have gotten exactly 3 messages today. So no, it is definitely not working, not even close! If I can not even get to a message by using the url in the message then something is wrong. If I can not even get a list of my subscriptions then something is wrong. If I can not take a link from the homepage then something is wrong. I have cleared my cache. It does not matter if I use IE or Firefox the results are the same.

Let's start with clearing your cookies (not your cache). Have you followed this procedure:
1 : Go to the RCU forum http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum and clear your browser cookies
2 : Go to the RCU home page http://www.rcuniverse.com and clear your browser cookies
3 : (at this point the homepage and forum will NOT show you logged in)
4: Log in on the homepage at http://www.rcuniverse.com
5: Click to go into the forum
Be sure you are clearing ALL RCU cookies -- your individual browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) will vary on how to do this.
That should take care of your database errors and maybe any login issues too.
To see your subscribed forums and threads, go to MY FORUMS or SUBSCRIPTIONS or SETTINGS and you'll see them all.
When you get a thread new alert via email, the link should now take you to the proper thread.
As to the FORUM subscriptions, they have now all been turned on and you ought to be seeing them in a daily digest sometime soon. They will be sent out after midnight PT on a daily basis.
If you're still having issues today, let us know.

old software would mark all forums read upon leaving, this one seems to want to make me do the mark forums read button before i leave each time, otherwise, i see a build up of threads/forums i haven't clicked on with the last new post time of several hours prior to my last visit. yet another similarity to, you guessed it, rcg.

I got an email for a subscribed thread. Clicked on the link and was not logged in when the page appeared. I never log out of RCU either. I have to go back to the RCU main page and go to my forums and to my subscriptions for it to keep me logged in. Also when I click the my forums link on the RCU home page it takes me to the forums home page. Not toy forum subscriptions. ... This is getting real old already.........
As to My Forums, be sure to scroll down to see your list of subscribed forums. It's not taking you to a list of all forums, just just need to scroll.

I don't know if this issue is reported already, but I found it in at least the 'gas engine' section.
These are the old posts, as accessed from the "Glow Engines, Gas Engines, Fuel & Mfg Support Forums":
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/gas-engines-142/
If I enter the 'gas engine' as sub-forum from "Giant Scale Aircraft - 3D & Aerobatic" the I find an empty one (few recent posts only)
Same for "Giant Scale Aircraft - General": another new sub-forum with a few posts, different from "Giant Scale Aircraft - 3D & Aerobatic".
Somehow linking the forums goes wrong: all three show "http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/gas-engines-142/" but the content differs.

Good!
The issue I have now is that the all of the problems that I reported a few pages ago are back today. I have also still not seen any response to my question regarding the Enter key not working in the reply box. I am using Windows 7 and IE 10 which is what I replied to a few posts after the question was raised.
Once again, every comment you make is very helpful and is one step closer for us to find solutions for any problems RCU may have. Thank you.

We understand that log in/ log out is still one of the main issues here, and it is currently our #1 priority to fix them! We are sorry for the trouble and thank you for your patience!

hrrcflyer I had the same problem with my enter key. Changing the editor to standard fixed it. Click settings at top of page, click general settings then scroll down to Message Editor Interface, and try standard editor.
