Help with avatar
Can someone tell me how to configure a photo to use as a avatar? I try to set it and I keep getting a message too large. How do you make it small enough to fit?
Thanks |
RE: Help with avatar
hi
I also had this problem finally found I had to resize picture to about 90x70 pixels and this worked fine. good luck joe |
RE: Help with avatar
I have changed it to as low as 60x40 pixels and it still tells me the file is too large. I am getting frustrated.

RE: Help with avatar
Here are the guidelines:
85X85 pixel size 7.5 KB file size gif/jpg file type If it's jpg or .gif, you've got it down to 60x40 pixels, and it still won't work, then the file size is too big. (jkevans' avatar is actually 80x60 pixels, at 1.47KB, for instance.) |

try to send me the picture by email attachment and let me look at it. I have a max size my email will accept so try it it may not work. happy flying joe |
RE: Help with avatar
No matter what I do with the pixels size the file is about 36k. Any ideas how to lower the file size. I tried on Adobe photo deluxe. This is driving me crazy and I know its going to be some stupid easy fix.

RE: Help with avatar
HI rdcracer
first using your editor crop the picture to just include the image and save as jpg <normal> if you have the normal option. it must be jpg, cannot be bmp, I think. then reload the saved image and go to image properties and resize to around 80x60 pixels <may have to play a little with these numbers> mine is 80x60. this should put you in the ballpark. I am using editor that came with my digital camera but lots of other should work. don't think you can use windows paint. what editor are you using to resize image? good luck hope this helps happy flying joe |
